How Our Publishing Process Works
At Seerendip Publishing, we aim to make the process clear, supportive, and author-focused. Here’s what you can expect when working with us:
Step 1
Submit Your Manuscript
Authors may submit their manuscripts directly through our website. If you have any questions beforehand, you’re welcome to reach out to us via our contact form on the site, social media, or by emailing us directly at SeerendipPublishing@gmail.com. We also offer completely free, no-strings-attached publishing consultations.
Step 2
Manuscript Review
Once submitted, we will review your manuscript and typically respond within 3–5 business days.
Step 3
Acceptance and Onboarding
If your manuscript is accepted, you’ll receive an acceptance email along with an onboarding checklist. This collects important information we use throughout the publishing process.
Step 4
Contract and Package Selection
After completing the checklist, you’ll receive our contract to review. If you agree, you’ll sign and return it, and we’ll send back a countersigned copy for your records.
We will then confirm which publishing package you’d like to move forward with and provide an invoice. Once payment is completed, the publishing process officially begins.
Step 5
Editing
Your manuscript will be sent to an editor for the first review. Editors are given up to 90 days to provide feedback (though it often takes less). You will then have up to 90 days to make revisions, with extensions available if you communicate your needs.
After revisions, the manuscript goes back to the editor for a final review, and then back to you once more to apply final changes.
This two-round review is our core editing service. In addition, we will share your manuscript with beta readers for extra feedback, which we provide as a bonus.
We highly recommend that authors consider additional services such as beta reading, developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading, depending on the needs of the manuscript.
Step 6
Cover Design
During or shortly after editing, your book cover will be designed and submitted to you for approval.
Step 7
Formatting & Registration
Once your manuscript is ready, we will:

Register your ISBN(s) and apply for your LCCN (if applicable).

Format your manuscript. Formatting is done in order of submission and typically takes 3–5 business days once started (1–2 weeks at most).
Step 8
Final Approval
When both the formatted manuscript and cover are complete, you will review and let us know if you approve them for publishing.
Step 9
Publishing & Silent Launch
Once approved, the official 90-day publishing clock begins. We start by publishing your book on Amazon and IngramSpark and ordering publisher copies for you to review.
We recommend beginning with a Silent Launch—about 30 days focused on securing reviews and initial traction. After that, we will officially launch your book to the public!
